My camping family includes myself, my two kids, my dad and our loyal poodle Gilbert. Together, we enjoy every style of camping, from RV camping and tent camping to car camping and road trip camping adventures. We spend much of our time camping throughout New England, exploring forests, lakes, campgrounds, and scenic back roads that make this region such a special place for outdoor lovers.
Family camping allows us to unplug, slow down, and reconnect with nature. We enjoy sharing practical camping tips, useful camping tools, and outdoor gear that make trips more enjoyable while keeping that back-to-basics, back-to-nature feeling. Bike rides around the campground, peaceful walks with the dog, and long drives exploring new destinations are some of our favorite parts of camping life.
Fishing is another big part of our outdoor adventures. Early mornings on the lake, casting a line from shore or a boat, and teaching the kids to fish create memories that last long after the trip ends. We also love boating to explore small islands on lakes—quiet escapes where we picnic, swim, and experience nature in its purest form.
Every year, we plan camping trips with friends who have become family. These trips are filled with laughter, shared meals, and classic campground traditions. Some of our favorite camping moments happen around the campfire—relaxing after a full day outdoors, cooking supper over an open fire, and finishing the night with s’mores under the stars.
